Included design and supervision of a 100kW Solar farm, 2 synchronized diesel generators, control systems and upgrading of the distribution grid for Tsumkwe's energy supply. The project also included the rollout of energy efficiency measure such as solar water heaters and LP gas. Namibia's vast renewable energy potential holds significant opportunities for socio-economic development. Located on the Southwest Atlantic coast of Africa, with a small population of 3 million people, the country is endowed with world-class solar and wind resources. (NamPower) has secured a loan from German state-owned development bank KfW to expand the planned Rosh Pinah project in Namibia from 70 MW to 100 MW. A media groundbreaking ceremony was held to mark the official start of the project, located 33 kilometers northwest of Rosh Pinah.
