OLP (Optical Line Protection) is a protection system developed by GIGALIGHT for fiber optic line backup. Optical line protection protects line fibers between sites using diverse routes and the dual fed and selective receiving function of the optical line protection (OLP) board. We uniquely offer a high data rate of up to 200 gigabit no-gap optical switching. Designed for maximum configuration flexibility, this module can plug directly into the FMT. It works by automatically switching to a backup optical fiber path in the event of a failure on the primary path.
